Travel Angels started trading in January 1993. When we heard about the Independence Group I went to Sunderland to meet with the team and was immediately taken with the operation, realising we could really flourish in this environment. The decision to join has proved to be correct and our relationship with Hays Travel has gone from strength to strength. The major benefits of membership are the support in terms of technology, the top commercial deals and the support of the commercial department, which is truly excellent. The organisation really understands our needs, and there is always the opportunity to discuss any issues with people who truly understand retail travel. The Independence Group is run by travel people for travel people. The fact that we have achieved such fantastic growth is a reflection of the environment the Independence Group provides to help travel businesses to flourish.
